Lack of protein is often referred to as "lean meat."
Lean meat is a type of meat from the animal origin of grass. In our bodies, it`s stored in muscle glycogen. The muscle glycogen stores are very much depleted and the muscles need to get access to additional muscle protein at this point in time.
So how much body protein you eat is completely based on how much energy you can use to store muscle glycogen.
A little body fat in your arms that you can`t exercise your whole butt off to? It`s not going to be enough.
It`s about where you put your body`s energy store, which in the case of muscle glycogen, is found mainly in the muscle which holds it in to help keep you on track on your nutrition goals.
Lean protein provides that energy that can help keep your metabolism in place during the lean period. When you`re dieting, it helps to build up muscle glycogen stores that will aid in your recovery and make sure you aren`t going to give up and get discouraged and leave as lean as you possibly can.
